Joel Schwarz spent over a dozen years in the federal government, to include serving as the Civil Liberties & Privacy Officer for the National Counterterrorism Center, an office that he stood up and led, as well as an Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. Earlier in his career, Joel was Special Counsel for Internet Matters for the Securities Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office and Assistant Attorney General for the Internet Bureau.
