Richard Black

Richard is the Staff Engineer for Security & Privacy at Vinted - the largest online international C2C marketplace in Europe dedicated to second-hand fashion, with a growing member base of over 80 million registered members spanning 19 markets in Europe and North America. His work is focused on security and privacy strategy and future ways of working.

He is old and wise, with a ridiculous background spanning IT strategy, enterprise architecture, software development, national cyber-security, electronics engineering, and audio engineering in senior and executive roles at the Vinted, Danske Bank, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of England, BP, TIBCO, Enron, Bankers Trust, and the Royal Australian Air Force.

He lives with his family in London, where he ‘competes’ in weekly club cycling rides. Foremost amongst Richard’s many interests are neuroscience, organisational cultures, photography, art and design - and occasionally DJing behind two Technics turntables.
