Laura Schmuttermeier

Laura Schmuttermeier is an experienced Director for Risk, Compliance and Data Privacy specialising in the Telecoms and Media sectors. Her focus is on across various areas of regulatory compliance, including financial services, Ofcom and data protection.

Laura is passionate about delivering practical compliance solutions to support businesses in achieving their objectives. Prior to moving to in-house roles Laura was a Director at Deloitte LLP where she focussed on delivering compliance and internal audit services.

Her passion for compliance started during the completion of her law degree and was cemented when she was part of a team which carried out an independent investigation for the Audit Committee of a company embroiled into one of the largest bribery scandals.

She believes compliance and risk management are critical to the success of a business but need to be practical and proportionate.
