Hugo Teufel

Hugo Teufel has assisted public and private sector clients in a wide range of areas including privacy and security; investigations, compliance, and corporate governance; defence and homeland and national security; government contracts formation, administration and litigation.

Mr. Teufel has a broad range of experience resulting from over two decades of practice in the public and private sector, to include: serving as a judge advocate in the Army National Guard; Chief Privacy Officer for the Department of Homeland Security; designated agency ethics official and counsel for the federal law enforcement agency charged with rooting out waste, fraud and abuse of U.S. reconstruction dollars in Afghanistan; senior positions in the U.S. Departments of Interior and Homeland Security; and as Deputy Solicitor General for the State of Colorado.

He also holds CIPP/US, CIPP/G, and CIPM certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
