My interest in understanding the intricacies of compliance has led me to pursue a career in risk and compliance specifically within the transport sector hence my current position with Arriva UK Trains. I have considerable experience in advising executive leadership on emerging compliance trends and potential risks including, recommending proactive measures to meet and maintain regulatory compliance. I have learned what strategies work best within the compliance sphere while developing my own management style. During my career to date, I have been involved in supporting compliance initiatives, conducting research, assisting in audits, and collaborating with senior professionals to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies. I have an abundance of practical experience as well as my legal background which has provided me with a valuable understanding of the challenges inherent in the compliance landscape and imbued me with a drive to find opportunities in these challenges. I endeavour to approach compliance freshly and interactively, tapping into employees’ strengths and delivering the material in an approachable manner to increase the likelihood of engagement in an ever-changing environment.
