Head of Data Protection and Privacy, Lloyds

Heading up data protection for the world’s oldest insurance market, Ann’s role sees her and her team manage the protection of personal and commercially valuable data. As the 350 year old city institution undergoes a programme of digital transformation, they have a steady stream of work ensuring data protection is embedded into all changes.

Ann is a New York qualified lawyer but she works from the Operations team giving her better oversight of how her data protection advice is implemented. Ann’s experience prior to Lloyd’s spans fintech, telecoms, litigation finance and an NGO.

Ann’s work and studies have given her the opportunity to live in a number of countries before settling in London. She did the European Masters in Law & Economics which she completed in Italy, Germany and Israel and she’s also lived in Belgium and South Africa.

In her spare time you can find Ann training for whatever niche endurance challenge has piped her interest. This year she is completing the Swedish Classic, a series of gruelling sports challenges starting with a 315km cycle later in June. She was once a semi-professional football player.
