South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) came into enforcement from 1st July 2021.

This panel will discuss the first few months of enforcement from the regulator’s perspective - assessing any triggers, exploring the history of what regulators look for, and what the implications are for South Africa.
