Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Technology Awards (DEITA) is the event to celebrate, acknowledge and champion organisations and individuals who are making a difference and leading the way. We welcomed some of the industry’s best to the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
DEITA founder, Niki Dowdall, took to the stage to start the evening and said, “These awards serve as a reminder that the journey toward diversity, equity, and inclusion is ongoing, urging everyone to strive for a future where these principles are not just superficial checkboxes but ingrained fundamental values embraced by all.”
Senior technology business leaders from, AWS, BT, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, TikTok and many others celebrated the emotionally charged evening. Other winners announced on the night were:

According to a recent McKinsey & Company Report, DE&I in the workplace leads to better outcomes for companies and there are clear correlations between diversity and business performance.
DEITA recognises the trailblazers and change-makers who have made a lasting impact on the tech ecosystem and Niki Dowdall is on a mission to promote DEI in Technology to the widest possible audience, saying, “A diverse workforce is simply a good workforce. A company that fully embraces DE&I will reap rewards in the war for talent, build a positive employer brand and foster a sense of belonging for all members of society.”
The DEITA team are passionate about creating positive social change in the world of technology and these awards will take place in many other destinations in 2024.
