Chairman and President of Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP), Southeast Asia Regional Director, Gogolook

 Mel is a multi awarded Technology Leader and International speaker. She is the Regional Director for Gogolook, a leading TrustTech company and the Country Head for Philippines. She is also the Security Governance Director in Global Anti Scam Alliance (GASA) based in Netherlands looking after Asia. Concurrently, she is the Chairperson and President of the Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP), Executive Committee member of the ASEAN CIO Association – Women in Tech Chapter and the Chairperson of the Board and President of the Philippines Chief Information Officer Association (PCIOA).

She is a Contributing Author from Asia in Fight Fire With Fire – Proactive Cybersecurity Strategies for Today’s Leaders which was released in the US, Canada and APAC

She has more than 20 years experience in various areas of technology and cybersecurity on IT Project Management, IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management, IT and OT Infrastructure Management, IT Governance, IT Solutioning, DevSecOps, Cyber Defense Operations, Cyber Governance, Security Engineering, IT Audit, Data Privacy, Enterprise Risk Management and AI Governance.

She had led international and local companies to obtain various industry certifications such as ISMS, PCIDSS and BCMS. She led cybersecurity teams locally and within Southeast Asia enabling these companies to transform their cybersecurity programs and operations and to meet country regulations and contractual obligations on information security and privacy.

Mel has earned her credential in women in technology and has been invited in a number of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs within APAC. She spearheaded several programs on gender equity and cybersecurity to various communities in the Philippines and within the region.

Mel has been featured as a technology and cybersecurity leader in many publications and has been well known with APAC on her contributions to the community on women empowerment and gender inclusion. Among these are but not limited to: DIGITMES ASIA, Financial Times, NIKKEI ASIA, The Cyber Express, Information Security Media Group, ETCIO SEA, CIO.COM, Passion Vista Magazine.
