Chief Privacy Officer, The Coca-Cola Company

 

Courtney Stout is the Chief Privacy Officer at Coca-Cola and leads the Company’s global legal privacy strategy, and she also serves as the legal counsel for the cyber incident response team. Courtney has more than 20 years’ experience in solving complex data issues by focusing on the intersection of technology, privacy and security.

In 2023, Courtney was selected as the Chief Privacy Officer of the Year by Global Risk and Compliance World Forum. The purpose of the award is to celebrate women who make remarkable contributions and drive transformation in the industry. This followed Global Data Review naming Courtney as one of the “Women of Data” in 2022 - which honors women at the cutting edge of their field in global data, technology, and regulation. In the Women in Data 2022, Courtney joined an elite group of 46 honorees from 23 countries, including 37 lawyers, 5 data privacy regulators, and 4 in-house privacy leaders from around the world.

She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Digital Trust framework committee, the National Technology Security Coalition’s Policy Council, and she serves on the advisory boards of the Future of Privacy Forum and the Centre for Information Policy Leadership. Courtney speaks annually at Practicing Law Institute events as part of the Privacy and Cybersecurity faculty.
