Datatilsynet, Denmark’s Data Protection Authority, is conducting a written check on 30 organisations’ information-protection systems.

Eleven municipalities, ten insurance companies and nine hotels have been selected for what the DPA says is part of its work to strengthen data security.

The supervision will enable it to assess each organisation’s level of information protection and, because the questions are the same, compare peers and across industries.

The deadline for answering the questions is 10 September, after which Datatilsynet will decide if further supervision of an organisation is required.
