Technologist-turned-lawyer-turned-digital transformation evangelist and steward. I have over 21 years of experience managing complex projects and working across disciplines and borders. My practice and experience have afforded me the opportunity to work in multiple roles and industries, and with persons occupying all manners of professions at all levels, from secretaries and trainees to investment bankers and in-house and general counsel to C-level officers and board members of early stage to FTSE 100 public companies. In my role as the first Chief Digital Officer of Ashurst, I am responsible for helping to define and implement our digital transformation strategy and delivery of the digital capabilities we need to succeed over the next 200 years. I also lead Ashurst Advance Digital, the technology arm of our NewLaw division Ashurst Advance, one of the delivery teams responsible for execution of that strategy. I also remain a practicing corporate and finance lawyer (since 2009) advising high growth companies and venture and growth capital investors. I founded Ashurst’s High Growth & VC team in Europe, co-head our FinTech team and help lead our DLT and crypto assets practice, as well as co-head our Fintech Legal Labs. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I spent seven years architecting, managing and developing digital solutions for the new media and information technology industries in New York City, and so have insider expertise in and knowledge of the technology space.
