Jose De La Vega

A retired U.S. Navy veteran Dr. Jose De La Vega dedicated his career at the NSA, specializing in advanced cyber operations.

His firsthand experience with foreign adversaries gives him a unique and comprehensive understanding of both offensive and defensive capabilities against sophisticated nation-state threat actors.

He possesses a profound understanding of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and the tactical exploitation of third and fourth-party supply chain vulnerabilities to gain a foothold in primary target environments.

Academically, Jose holds a Doctorate in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity from the University of Fairfax.

His doctoral fieldwork focused on the innovative application of artificial intelligence to enhance vendor risk management within the financial services sector.

Currently, he serves as a Senior Consultant on Mandiant’s Central Strategic Team, where he leverages his deep expertise to address complex cybersecurity challenges for global clients.
