Brian Brackenborough

I’m a cybersecurity leader with over 20 years’ experience helping to protect some of the UK’s most iconic broadcasters. My work has centred on strengthening resilience, improving security maturity, and enabling fast, creative media environments to operate safely in a complex and rapidly evolving threat landscape.

Over the years I’ve delivered major transformation programmes, uplifted ISO 27001 and NIST maturity, and led Channel 4’s approach to CAF and the Cyber Resilience Act. I’m passionate about making cybersecurity clear, practical and genuinely useful to the people who rely on it, from technology teams to senior leadership.

I’ve also contributed to sector-wide resilience by chairing cross-industry security groups and working closely with government bodies and NCSC. I enjoy turning complex challenges into straightforward insight and supporting teams in making confident, well-informed decisions.

My focus is simple: build strong teams, drive meaningful improvement, and help organisations (large or small) raise their cyber resilience in a way that supports how they actually work.
