Britain’s most inspiring women in business were crowned in London last night at the Great British Businesswoman Awards 2024.

Following the shortlisting of over 200 finalists, the 23 winners were selected by an esteemed judging panel that included, among others, Romy Desmarais, Talent Development Manager at Harrods, Chalene Hanson, Global HR Director, Burberry, Rav Bumbra, Founder at Cajigo, Asif Sadiq MBE, Chief Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Warner Bros. Discovery and Samidha Anand, Engineering Manager from Caterpillar.

Those winners were announced last night in a glamorous ceremony held at the spectacular Leonardo Royal Hotel, overlooking St Paul’s cathedral.
Sadie Restorick, Co-Founder at Wellity Global was crowned the overall Great British Businesswoman Woman of the Year.

Sponsored by Stella, this was the third annual Great British Businesswoman Awards, a programme that champions businesswomen leading across a multitude of sectors.

The ceremony was hosted by Dani Wallace, Managing Director of I am the Queen Bee. There were also speeches from Great British Businesswoman Awards Founder, Niki Dowdall, and last year’s Great British Businesswoman of the Year, Beth Knight.

The ceremony gave guests the opportunity to connect and celebrate with their fellow attendees and finalists.

Great British Businesswoman Awards Founder, Niki Dowdall said:

“I am truly humbled by the privilege of witnessing the incredible achievements of the outstanding women, leaders who have shaped industries, broken barriers, and inspired change.

Tonight, we came together not only to recognise their exceptional accomplishments but to amplify the voices of those whose dedication has paved the way for a brighter future.

I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to our Great British Businesswoman Awards Woman of the Year, Sadie Restorick, whose win fills me with immense pride and inspiration.

Sadie’s journey, marked by resilience and triumph over adversity, exemplifies the unwavering strength that women bring to the business world.”

This award not only recognises the outstanding accomplishments of Wellity Global and the organisation it represents, but it also symbolises Sadie’s personal triumph over innumerable challenges; it celebrates her path, and the character that has shaped her into the business champion she is today.”

Great British Businesswoman Woman of the Year and Co-Founder of Wellity Global, Sadie Restorick, said:

“Being crowned the winner of this prestigious award is a moment I will cherish forever. Whilst I am endlessly proud of the work, we do at Wellity Global, this award goes beyond the collective achievements of our organisation and fills me with a deep sense of personal pride in myself and my own journey through adversity and trauma.

“It will serve as a constant reminder of my strength and resilience, marking the unique path that has led me to become the confident businesswoman I am today.

I share this honour with my incredible team and hope that my story inspires other women on their individual journeys, serving as a testament to the fact that we can rewrite the scripts of our lives and propel our destinies forward—not in spite of our past, but driven by the strength it has forged within us.”
