As a digital ethics campaigner, Bill focuses on striking the right balance between ‘meaningful protection’ (cybersecurity, privacy, digital ethics, etc) and ‘the maximization of economic and social value’ (AI, cloud, digital transformation, innovation, etc). In Onalytica’s 2021 “Who’s Who in Data Management” Bill was ranked as the world’s top expert/influencer for data privacy and security. He is a prolific writer and speaker and appears on TV/Radio almost weekly - more broadcast airtime than any other technologist in the UK.

As CEO of CrisisTeam.co.uk, Bill leads an elite team of experts in incident response, cyber law, reputation management and social influence to help clients minimize the impact of cyber incidents. 

Bill is also a board member of the International Association for Risk and Crisis Communication (IARCC).
