I’m Technical Director at Trident Intelligent Solutions, where I lead a team building AI and data-driven software solutions for organisations in heavily regulated, high-stakes sectors. A big part of the job is deciding where a human needs to stay involved and where a machine can safely take over. Getting that line right is the difference between AI that genuinely helps and AI that causes problems down the line.

I started out in psychology before moving into computer science and a PhD in machine learning, where I published research on automated machine learning. That combination shapes how I approach every project, considering the human impact of applying powerful technology.
