Regulatory Solution Director, NAVEX

Most people treat compliance as the thing standing between them and what they want to do. I see it the other way around: compliance is freedom to operate. Get it right and it becomes the reason you can enter a market, ship a product, or say yes when your competitors are still asking permission.

I came to this from an unusual direction. I started out as a software developer before I trained as a lawyer. That background means I don’t just read regulation, I think about how it gets implemented, where it breaks, and what it actually costs a team to comply. I work where technology and regulation collide, with deep experience across global data governance, financial regulation, robotics, and the management of biometric data across multiple jurisdictions.

What I do, in practice, is help businesses weed through the legislative corpus and turn it into an advantage they can act on, one that treats compliance as a feature rather than a cost center.

I hold an LLB in English and Welsh Law and an LLM in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law, and I’m a member of the California Bar. I was honored to serve as a law clerk for the Third Judicial District in New York State.
