Kathryn Brooks

Kathryn is the Data Protection Officer for the Cambridge Education Group, a private education group who partners with some of the world-leading Universities to provide high-quality programmes to thousands of students.

With over 10 years of experience working in Higher Education and in Data Protection, Kathryn is on a mission to change how Data Protection is perceived by organisations, moving away from one of fear and confusion, to one that empowers teams with the knowledge, confidence, and expertise in how the GDPR effects their role and responsibilities.

Kathryn has spoken at PrivSec London, the IRMS Annual Conference, #RISK Digital, the Government of Gurnsey’s Annual Data Protection Conference and most recently is touring UK Universities as a guest lecturer, talking about the synergy of Data Governance and Cyber Security.
