Federico Marengo

Federico is a privacy lawyer and AI governance lead, specialized in the intersection of AI, privacy and regulatory compliance.

Currently, Federico is Informa’s AI governance manager, leading Informa PLC’s global AI governance initiatives, shaping and ensuring the implementation of a comprehensive AI framework to ensure ethical and compliant development and deployment of AI technologies across the organization. With a background in law, privacy and AI consultancy at firms including White Label Consultancy, TNP Consultants, and Data Business Services, Federico advised companies operating in complex regulatory environments.

As an AI and privacy thought leader, Federico regularly contributes insights on data protection applications in advanced domains. His academic credentials include a PhD at Bocconi University, an LL.M. from the University of Manchester, where his research explores the GDPR’s potential and challenges in protecting data subjects from AI’s adverse effects. I was also a teaching assistant in two law courses at Bocconi University.

Federico is also the author of “Data Protection Law in Charts: A Visual Guide to the General Data Protection Regulation,” an innovative ebook that presents complex legal concepts through clear, visual explanations of key regulations and relevant case law, and “Privacy and AI: Protecting Individuals in the Age of AI”
