Kayla Izenman is a Research Fellow at RUSI’s Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies. Her primary research projects focus on analysing and addressing the financial crime risks posed by cryptocurrency, including sanctions evasion,money-laundering, and terrorist financing.
In September 2020, Kayla co-authored the RUSI-ACAMS Cryptocurrency Risk & Compliance survey, a report that identified the gaps in different industries’ perceptions and confidence in cryptocurrency. Prior to joining RUSI, Kayla worked at both the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of State.
