Tia Cheang

Tia Cheang is Chief Data & AI Officer at Investindustrial, a global Private Equity firm where she leads on Data & AI strategy across the fund and it’s portfolio of companies. She advises on digital governance, systemic risk and the responsible adoption of AI across complex enterprises.

A Fellow of the British Computer Society, Tia has more than two decades of experience across data, health, telecoms and infrastructure, aligning innovation, regulation and accountability.

At the United Nations Economic Commission, she contributes to international policy on AI governance and ethical frameworks, advancing cross-border standards for responsible innovation. She also sits on Parliamentary Groups on AI, ICT and the Future of Work in the House of Lords, and has contributed to the UK’s digital and AI skills agenda, supporting national capability and workforce resilience.

Tia has twice been named to the DataIQ 100, recognised in Women in Data’s Twenty in Data, the list of the 20 most influential women in data, and awarded Tech-Exec Data Leader of the Year for her leadership in data and AI.“
