UK Enterprise Risk Management Expert

Emma is a Partner in Deloitte’s Reputation, Risk, Crisis & Resilience team, and leads the non-FS Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) practice in the UK. The ERM team works with clients to give them the confidence to proactively manage risk in a rapidly changing world, covering areas from emerging risk to insight-based risk reporting, risk culture and governance, and risk appetite and metrics. Emma helps clients deliver sustainable value from their risk approaches both for their own organisations, and for their broader stakeholder groups.

Emma has over 20 years experience in operational, consultative and technology related risk positions, and is particularly interested in helping organisations ‘future-proof’ themselves by preparing to respond to emerging risks in an agile and practical manner.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Emma was the Partner responsible for ERM at another ‘Big 4’ consultancy and additionally, has worked in an operational capacity as a Risk Manager within a PMO for two leading Aerospace companies in France and Australia. This has provided her with a practical understanding of the issues associated with deploying successful risk management programmes. Emma has worked across numerous private and public sector industries in Europe, Australia, and the United States and is a recognised thought leader – a Certified Practising Risk Manager, Specialist Member of the UK Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and has previously acted as an Examiner for the IRM.
