Anthony Long is a recognised authority in financial services cyber resilience and a former senior advisor at the Bank of England. He played a pivotal role in the concept, design, and implementation of CBEST, the pioneering threat-led testing regime now adopted globally. His leadership also encompassed Cyber Health Checks, Section 166 skilled person reviews, and the upskilling of overseas regulators, establishing enduring benchmarks for supervisory assurance and resilience across critical sectors.
Today, as Vice President and Strategic Solutions Architect at LRQA, Anthony works directly with clients to uncover pain points and design solutions that deliver measurable cyber and operational resilience. He drives global strategy and execution across advisory services, shaping frameworks, service lines, and programmes that enable organisations to meet regulatory expectations while building sustainable resilience.
Anthony continues to influence the global regulatory landscape as a member of the CREST UK Council and an active advisor to regulators on the evolution of testing frameworks and supervisory approaches. With over 20 years’ experience spanning threat intelligence, financial crime, resilience, and cyber strategy, he is trusted by governments, regulators, and industry leaders to translate complex challenges into practical, business-aligned outcomes that safeguard reputation and enable long-term growth.
