Ann McManus is Senior Counsel for Data Protection and Cybersecurity and serves as the UK Data Protection Officer at FIS, a Fortune 500 leader in payment technology. FIS powers solutions for 95% of the world’s leading banks and has successfully blocked over 20 billion malicious payment requests, underscoring its commitment to secure financial ecosystems.
With a career spanning insurance, telecoms, litigation finance, start-ups, and NGOs, Ann brings a rare combination of legal expertise and business insight to the evolving risk landscape. She previously led the Data Protection team at Lloyd’s of London and drove market-wide privacy cybersecurity initiatives as Market Information Security, Privacy and Ethics Lead for Future at Lloyd’s, a program transforming the world’s oldest insurance market into a digital-first ecosystem.
A New York-qualified lawyer with a European Masters in Law & Economics earned across Italy, Germany, and Israel, Ann’s international experience informs her pragmatic approach to global compliance and resilience. She is passionate about bridging the gap between regulation, technology, and business growth—ensuring privacy and cybersecurity is not just a defensive measure but a driver of innovation.
Outside of work, Ann is an avid athlete. She recently competed in the cycling version of the iconic 24-hour Le Mans race, earning a team trophy, and previously played semi-professional football.
