Where Behavioural Science meets ESG
10:35 AM - 11:05 AM

As organisations seeking to attract investors, retain employees, and stay ahead of regulation, it is increasingly important to know what matters to the broader public when it comes to sustainability and ESG… and with the increasing shift to investor engagement rather than divestment, there is increasing pressure to reflect investor preferences to ESG in governance, strategy, and policy. Drawing on our extensive behavioural research in understanding investor attitudes to ESG, this talk will examine what is important to retail investors when it comes to ESG and how these preferences are evolving

AI needs to be part of your ESG agenda
10:35 AM - 11:05 AM

At first Corporate Social Responsibility and Environment, Social & Governance agendas were minor agenda items that didn't give Boards much to worry about - their importance, and their link to companies' missions, became clear over time.

But the power of Artificial Intelligence to change business models and its impact on society is massive - and fast paced. From the carbon footprint it can take to build AI models to manipulating people's behaviour, AI needs to be part of your ESG agenda. It has the potential to transform how you do business but there are major pitfalls you need to be aware of and take steps to avoid. Boards cannot delegate decisions over whether, how and when to use AI so business leaders need to gain the skills quickly to understand and control its use.
